it was bound to happen
Don't worry, I'm ok. But I crashed the 636 today. Oops. (rhyming not intentional)I don't have a scratch on me, but the bike is a little worse off.
It was 45 degrees out today, so I thought I should go for a spin. I let the bike warm up very well. I checked the tire pressures. Lubed the chain, etc. Pulling out of my complex onto Lancaster street I gave it some gas and the rear tire spun up. The bike went sideways and shot out from under me. I landed kinda hard on my side, but didn't even hit my head or scuff up my gear too badly. The bike and I slid to a stop and I popped to my feet. Some dude in a pick-up truck watched me crash. We picked the bike up, I collected my wits, and he gave me a push so I could pop-start the thing. It rides fine and the damage is cosmetic. Time to break out the check-book.
